When we founded Performance Foundry in 2014, we set up some big goals: we wanted to be the world’s best Managed WordPress services provider, and to be one of the world’s top productised WordPress development agencies.

Goals like these require growth, and we’ve been happy to see the company grow steadily over the past four years — as more hosting and development clients have joined us, so have more staff. We’ve expanded our development and support teams, taken on a specialist project manager, and spread around the world: we currently have staff based in four continents.

All this growth has meant role changes for many of the team, with the most recent development also being one of the most exciting: senior developer Ricardo Correia is now our Chief Engineer.

As Chief Engineer, Ricardo will have oversight over all of Performance Foundry’s development and hosting products, and will also be managing the development team.

Ricardo has been with Performance Foundry since 2016, and has consistently demonstrated excellence in all areas of his work — as well as being a fantastic developer and leader, he’s also friendly, professional, and a real team player.

Outside of Performance Foundry, Ricardo is active in the Portuguese WordPress community — helping with organising WordCamps and speaking at meetups.

Ricardo says,

“I’m very happy with this opportunity and I want to thank all the Performance Foundry team for the confidence they have shown me. In this new role, I’ll aim to take our engineering systems and procedures one step further, so we can create even better websites and better businesses together.”

We’re excited to see how Ricardo makes his mark on the role, and wish him all the best in his new position.
